Biography:

Dr. Li Yuan obtained her joint doctoral diploma in 2011 from Institute of High Energy Physics in Chinese Academy of Science and Paris Six University in France. She worked as a postdoc fellow at Kobe University in Japan from 2012 to 2015.  She later joined Beihang University as an Associate Professor since the end of 2015.  She had been working on ATLAS  experiment since 2007 and moved to CMS experiment in 2016, with focus on physics analyses about Higgs boson. She had been heavily involved in the search for Higgs boson in diphoton channel before the Higgs discovery and measurements of the Higgs boson properties (such as production cross section, coupling constants and decay width etc) in WW and ZZ decay channels. She was awarded  the best Ph.D prize from France-China Particle Physics Laboratory in 2013 for her significant contribution to the Higgs search in diphoton channel. She is now a member of CMS Conference Committee.

Abstract

The Higgs boson is rather unique among all the fundamental particles in Standard Model of particle physics. Measurements of the Higgs boson properties is one of major goals in particle physics since its discovery in 2012.  A lot of studies about the Higgs boson properties have been conducted in ATLAS and CMS experiments at the LHC. This seminar will present the recent Higgs width measurement performed in the ZZ final states using the CMS Run-2 data
