Enlighten Dark Photon with Kinetic Mixing

Abstract: The hypothetical dark photon portal connecting the visible and dark sectors of the Universe has received considerable attention in recent years.  Kinetic mixing between the Standard Model (SM) hypercharge gauge boson and a new U(1)X gauge boson plays an important role in making the portal mechanism to work. Previous studies of kinetic mixing has been focused on CP violating one, in this talk I report our results of first construct for a renormalizable model for CP-violating kinetic mixing that induces CP-violating non-Abelian kinetic mixing. I will discuss some related phenomenological consequences for kinetic mixing paying particular attention to CP violating effect show up in electron electric dipole moments (EDM) which makes future EDM searches an important probe of this scenario.

 

何小刚: 李政道研究所,李政道讲习教授。曾任台湾大学物理特聘教授,台湾理论科学中心物理部主任。美国物理学会会士。长期从事粒子物理研究,研究领域包括:量子拓扑相位 (发现He-McKellar-Wilkens新型量子拓扑相位等),弱电与强相互作用,标准模型外新物理以及宇宙学 (提出中微子跷跷板第三类模型和独立提出三重双极混合;发现弱电企鹅图在B物理和研究CP破缺中的重要性,预言被实验验证的不同B衰变过程的关系; 提出希格斯粒子暗物质门户理论检验标准和亲轻子暗物质模型等)。 已发表超过300篇学术论文,同行引用超过1万次, h指数为59
