The Space Charge ICFA mini-workshop series was started in 2013 by the EU-co-funded EuCARD2 project, in order to meet urgent demands from the accelerator community. Since then, about every two years this event has been hosted by institutions around the world confronting the issue of high-intensity particle beams. In 2013 the first space charge workshop was hosted at CERN; in 2015 it was held at the Trinity College in Oxford, UK; in 2017 in Darmstadt, Germany; in 2019 again at CERN; in 2022 at Knoxville, USA.
The IHEP CSNS(Spallation Neutron Source Science Center) and IMP are delighted to host the 2024 Space Charge workshop (SC2024)! The workshop is co-sponsored by IHEP, IMP, HFHF, the EU project iFAST, and is organized under the auspices of ICFA (ICFA mini-workshop). The Space Charge workshops mainly focus on topics of space charge in high-intensity accelerators. The 2024 event will provide the community with a dedicated forum to share and discuss the latest developments, relevant topics, and issues in high-intensity accelerators. The format of the event will guarantee space for discussions, brainstorming, and state-of-the-art reports in the field.
