Chiral Effective Field Theories for Strong and Weak Dynamics

Description

Chiral symmetries are relevant for spontanous-symmetry-broken theories at different scales, from nuclear, hadronic, QCD to electroweak and TeV scales. From on-shell scattering amplitude perspective, I will talk about systematic construction of higher order QCD chiral Lagrangian, similarly electroweak chiral Lagrangian, and composite Higgses. Chiral effective theory for nuclear force is also discussed and applied to various nuclear weak current processes, such as neutrino, dark photon, and axion, etc. By matching among different scales, a bottom-up theoretical framework is built for low energy probes of high energy new physics, with taking QCD axion as example.

Bio:
于江浩,中国科学院理论物理研究所研究员、博士生导师,2012年获密歇根州立大学博士学位,之后在德州大学奥斯汀分校、麻省大学阿姆斯特分校从事博士后研究,2017年底回国历任副研究员和研究员。主要研究方向包括标准模型有效场论、Higgs质量起源和电弱相变、物质反物质不对称及低能检验、中微子和暗物质宇宙学。
