The China-Japan Joint School for Nuclear Physics will be held in Lanzhou from August 20 to 29, 2025. The school will host 40 students—20 from Japan and 20 from China.
August 20 is the registration day.
From August 21 to 23, students will visit the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP) (http://impcas.ac.cn), another nearby CAS institute, and the Gansu Provincial Museum.
During this time, students will also give short presentations—10 minutes plus 2 minutes for Q&A—to share their research progress.
From August 24 to 29, students will join the NUSYS School at Lanzhou University (https://indico.ihep.ac.cn/event/25165/). During NUSYS, they will also have a chance to present their research in a poster session.
This joint school is supported by the CAS PIFI Program and other programs listed in the NUSYS website.
Japanese participants who are graduate students, senior undergraduates, or postdocs under 32 years old, affiliated with Japanese universities/institutes, and not holding Chinese nationality, will receive full support, including travel to Lanzhou and local expenses.
All other participants will receive support for local expenses in Lanzhou.
Japanese participants must have travel insurance for China. The school will reimburse the cost of the insurance.
