Abstract: Four-top-quark production at the LHC represents a unique laboratory for probing Standard Model (SM) extensions. With a cross section highly sensitive to the top quark's Yukawa coupling and potential new physics at the TeV scale, this rare process offers distinctive opportunities to New Physics, Higgs Dynamics, top-specific EFT, etc. With this process been observed for the first time in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV at the CERN LHC by both the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations, I'll give an overview of its search status at the LHC and experimental opportunities at Run3.
Speaker: Long Wang (王龙) is currently an Associate Professor at the International Institute for Interdisciplinary and Frontiers in Beihang University (北航), with a research focus on SM precision tests via top quark and Higgs, and Dark Matter searches through collider experiments.
