报告摘要:Monte-Carlo event generators are indispensable tools in high-energy physics, providing the bridge between fundamental theory and experimentally measurable observables. A central component of these generators is the parton shower, whose accuracy critically affects the reliability of collider predictions. In this talk, I will review recent advances in parton-shower technology, with a particular focus on efforts to consistently incorporate next-to-leading-order (NLO) corrections into shower kernels. I will then discuss the antenna-shower framework and illustrate its advantages in capturing QCD radiation patterns. Building on these developments, I will present a new method that enables next-to-next-to-leading-order (NNLO) precision directly from shower algorithms. This approach opens a promising path toward systematically improving the perturbative accuracy of event generators for current and future collider experiments.
报告人简介:李海涛,山东大学物理学院教授,2015年在北京大学获得博士学位,2015-2021年之间先后在澳大利亚莫纳什大学,美国洛斯阿拉莫斯国家实验室、美国西北大学/阿贡国家实验室从事博士后研究工作,2021年11月入职山东大学,主要研究方向为微扰量子色动力学和对撞机唯象学,包括对基本粒子在对撞机上产生截面的精确理论预言,蒙特卡洛事例生成器的相关研究等。
