We are pleased to announce Neutrino Geoscience 2026, to be held in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China, from 16 to 19 November 2026. The workshop is jointly hosted by the Institute of High Energy Physics, China University of Geosciences (Beijing), North China Electric Power University, and Sun Yat-sen University.

Neutrino geoscience brings together particle physicists, geophysicists, geochemists and other Earth scientists to investigate the composition, structure, heat budget and evolution of our planet. Geoneutrinos from the radioactive decay chains of uranium and thorium provide a direct probe of heat-producing elements in otherwise inaccessible regions of the Earth, while potassium remains an important target for future detection methods. These measurements help constrain the radiogenic contribution to terrestrial heat flow and the composition of the crust and mantle.

The workshop continues the international Neutrino Geoscience series, including the 2019 meeting in Prague and the 2025 meeting in Kingston, together with recent meetings on multi-messenger tomography of the Earth. The field now combines geoneutrino observations with seismology, geochemistry, gravity-field measurements, geodesy, geothermics, mineral physics and geodynamical modelling.

The 2026 meeting comes at an important stage for the field. KamLAND and Borexino established geoneutrino detection, SNO+ extended measurements to a new continental setting, and JUNO presented its first preliminary geoneutrino result at Neutrino 2026 at the University of California, Irvine. Together, these complementary experiments are enabling increasingly precise and geographically diverse studies of the Earth's interior.

The scientific programme will cover current and future geoneutrino measurements; detector-site geological modelling; crustal, lithospheric and mantle contributions; the terrestrial heat budget; uranium, thorium and potassium abundances; nuclear and particle-physics inputs; reactor-antineutrino backgrounds; directional and ocean-bottom detection; neutrino-oscillation tomography; and joint interpretation of neutrino, seismic, geothermal, geochemical and geodynamical information. Invited and contributed talks, posters and focused discussions will emphasize communication across disciplines and priorities for future measurements, models and collaborations.

A Fall School on neutrino geoscience will also be held in Zhuhai from 11 to 14 November 2026, immediately before the workshop, to support students and early-career researchers entering this interdisciplinary field.
