Domestic Transportation to Nanjing
There is only a few flights from Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore, Korea bound to Nanjing. The following information is for your reference if you come to Nanjing with domestic transportation.
1, From Beijing Capital International airport
Please be reminded that Air France lands at Terminal 2 (T2) and Air China lands at Terminal 3 (T3). You have two ways of traveling from Beijing to Nanjing, by flight or by high speed train.
By flight

By train
High speed train will take about 4 hours from Beijing South Station to Nanjing South Station. Fares are 445 RMB for second class and 750 RMB for first class. The following table is the schedule of trains.

How to reach Beijing South Train Station
By shuttle bus
This is the most convenient way. Take shuttle bus Line 10 (16 RMB, operating hour: 9:30-21:30) from the airport. The bus trip will mostly take about 60 minutes (about 100 minutes, if traffic congests).
By Metro
Take Airport Express Line (25 RMB) to Dong-Zhi-Men. Then take urban metro Line 2 and change Line 4 to Beijing South Station (2 RMB).
2, From Shanghai Pudong International Airport
There is only one flight from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Nanjing (MU2882, 21:30-22:30). So you may need to take train from Shanghai to Nanjing. Please also be reminded that there is no train at Pudong airport. You have to take train from Hongqiao International Airport.
How to reach Hongqiao Airport
By metro
The convenient way is to take metro Line 2 from Pudong Airport to Hongqiao Airport. It will cost you about 70 minutes and 9 RMB. You have to change coach at Guang Lan Station though it is still Metro Line 2. Then get off at Hongqiao Train Station, which is under the same roof of Hongqiao Airport.
If you want to have a try of Maglev, then take Maglev (40 RMB, show your boarding pass when buy the ticket) and change to Metro Line 2 at Long Yang Station. Here is map of Shanghai Metro:

By shuttle bus
You can take Shuttle Bus Line 1 from Pudong directly to Hongqiao. This will cost you about 65 minutes and 30 RMB. Also it may have a long walk from the bus stop to the train station (not verified yet).
3, From Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport
Please be reminded that unfortunately there is no flight from Paris to Hongqiao airport. Only the flights from Hong Kong, Tokyo, etc land at Hongqiao. Also there is no flight from Hongqiao to Nanjing. The most convenient way to Nanjing is by high speed train.
There will be a high speed train departing from Hongqiao every few minutes from 6:30 to 21:25. The train from Hongqiao to Nanjing will take 1.5 to 2 hours, depends which station, Nanjing Station or Nanjing South Station, where the train stops. Fares are about 90 to 135 RMB for second class and 120 to 230 RMB for first class.
