Description

We present the two-loop mixed strong-electroweak virtual corrections to the production of a massive bottom-antibottom quark pair in electron-positron collisions. The evaluation of all the relevant Feynman integrals, including those with up to five internal massive lines with three different mass values, has been worked out relying on semi-analytical techniques, using complex-valued masses for the electroweak gauge bosons. The ultraviolet-renormalized and infrared-subtracted finite correction contributes to the NNLO QCD-EW cross section of the inclusive production of a bottom-quark pair. The methodology adopted in this calculation can be extended to the study of fully electroweak second-order corrections to benchmark precision scattering processes.
