Description
The IDEA detector concept has been proposed for experiments future high-energy electron-positron colliders, covering a rich physics program from the Z to WW, H and ttbar. The tracking system of the IDEA detector concept consists of different subsystems: a vertex detector, with an inner and outer section, a drift chamber and a silicon wrapper between the drift chamber and the calorimeters. In this talk the layout of the vertex and silicon wrapper will be described. The core of the system are multi-chips modules based on the ARCADIA and ATLASPIX3 monolithic pixel detector, but options with timing are being developed. Performance and prototypes and evolutions in the design will be presented.
