The Center for High-Energy Physics at Peking University will host the Frontier Physics Working Month 2026 from June 6 to July 3, 2026. The purpose of this Working Month is to promote academic exchange and collaboration among physicists based both in China and overseas. Participants will include senior researchers and postdoctoral fellows from China and abroad, with discussions and collaborations focusing on particle physics, nuclear physics, astrophysics, and cosmology.

We aim to host approximately 25 active researchers during the Working Month. As this year's program is jointly hosted by multiple universities and spans a relatively long period, participants may choose different modes of attendance according to their schedules. We strongly encourage participants to attend the full program whenever possible; at the same time, applications from those who wish to attend one half or more than one half of the program are also welcome. In principle, the Working Month may be divided into two parts: the first half (before the Dragon Boat Festival) and the second half (after the Dragon Boat Festival).

A certain number of fellowships will be available for overseas postdoctoral applicants. Participants who attend the full program may apply for support covering round-trip international airfare related to the Working Month. Those who attend one half or more, but not the full program, may apply for support covering one-way international airfare. The number of fellowships and the final support arrangements will be determined in a coordinated way based on the applications received. Applicants for fellowship support should arrange for a recommendation letter to be sent to Ms. Lv Lv.

Applicants are asked to indicate clearly in their application which of the following categories applies to their planned participation:

  1. Participation in the complete first half, with optional participation in part of the second half
  2. Participation in the complete second half, with a required short academic visit to CHEP before joining the second-half program
  3. Participation in the full program

The application deadline is April 20, 2026, and the list of confirmed participants as well as fellowship recipients will be announced before April 25, 2026.
