The National Institute for Nuclear Physics (Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare – INFN) is a leading public research institution in Italy, spread nationwide, with national laboratories, research centers, and divisions in close symbiosis with the main Italian Universities.
INFN since early 80’s has a long-lasting record of cooperation with Chinese researchers and institutions, and with CAS and IHEP in particular. After a brief historical summary, the focus will move on the most recent joint achievements in China, on the challenges of the present and the perspectives of the future.A few of the China-Italy bidirectional mobility and cooperation opportunities will be addressed as well.
