There are more cheaper and pricier options further away from the venue. Hong Kong is quite convenient in public transport. In general hotels near a train station should bring you to the venue in a reasonable amount of time. 

 

Transportation

The conference venue is located right next to the University station (Not to be confused with the HKU station), in the New Territories region of Hong Kong. 

From airport to the venue or the nearby hotels 

Taxi, about 300 HKD

Note 1: You can take the Green taxis from the airport to the venue and Hyatt. However,  Green taxis are restricted to run in rural areas, so they cannot go to the other hotels in the list.  If you are not sure, take the Red taxis, which can go anywhere, but is slightly more expansive. 

Note 2: most of the time they take electronic payments, but sometimes cash only. You should check before getting in the cab. 

 

Public transport, about 30 HKD

The cheapest and easiest transportation from airport is first A41 bus, get off at the "Tai Wai Market" station. Then take the train (East rail line) from Tai Wai station to University Station (3 stations). 

Note: You can get a NFC Octopus payment card for bus and metro. They also accept VISA, Mastercard or UnionPay contactless payment (Support Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay), and Transit QR Code of Alipay or UnionPay nowadays.
