Numerical simulation codes/programs play a crucial role in the design and commissioning of particle accelerators. During the development of charged particle accelerators, many excellent programs have been developed in various research institutes and are widely used by researchers worldwide. With the new ideas and understanding of accelerator-related beam dynamics, new methods and techniques have also been reflected in numerical simulations. Nowaday China is hosting many of the world’s largest and heavily funded accelerator projects being constructed or planned, driving an upsurge in the independent development of numerical simulation codes/programs in several institutes/labs in recent years.

In this mini-workshop, we are honored to invite Andrea Latina from CERN to share various aspects of RF_Track—a general-purpose accelerator particle tracking codes developed by him, covering from underlying algorithms to practical application examples. Meanwhile, we have also invited domestic experts to share their work on simulation codes/programs at this workshop.

Your participation is warmly welcome.
