30-day Visa-free Policy for Foreigners
Ordinary passport-holders from the following 46 countries allows for a visa-free entry in Mainland China up to Dec 31, 2026.
Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, South Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Sweden.

On January 30, 2026, the Prime Minister's Office of the United Kingdom announced that China will relax entry regulations for British citizens, allowing them to enter China without a visa for stays of up to 30 days.
From Nov 30, 2024, the visa-free stay period was extended from 15 days to 30 days.
