Description
PETRA III is a third generation light source which started operation
in 2009. Twenty damping wigglers are installed in dispersion free
straight sections in order to achieve a horizontal emittance of 1nmrad. We give a short overview of design considerations and beam
dynamics issues and report on experience from commissioning and
user operation.
