High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) is a 6GeV fourth generation synchrotron light source, open to global users in the second half of 2026. As a coming flagship light source, HEPS is an excellent platerform for international collaboration on synchrotron techniques and application. Supported by Chinese Academy Science, HEPS will launch a BRICS-Synchrotron Technology and Application Research School (Beijing 2026)(BRICS-STARS)in July 2026. BRICS-STARS is dedicated to promote the synchrotron radiation development in BRICS countries. It will provide the lectures on X-ray methodology and application with beamline practice.

BRICS-STARS aims to bring together talented PhD students,Postdoctorals and young professionals to this cutting edge facility. The seven-day intensive program provides a unique opportunity for participants to learn latest developments in methodology and application in this world-class flagship light source, enhance their professional skills and broaden their perspectives. The school is expected to facilitate synchrotron X-ray methodoloies and applications development in BRICS countries.
