Description
The spin correlation of hyperon pairs offers valuable information on the spin-spin correlation of quark-antiquark pairs generated in QCD. The first evidence of spin correlation of $\Lambda$-$\overline{\Lambda}$ pairs at short range was observed by STAR in $p+p$ collisions recently. Extending these studies to $\Lambda$-(anti)$\Lambda$ pairs produced inside jets enables a cleaner environment to study the spin correlation of quark-antiquark pairs during the hadronization process. In this talk, we present the status of the measurement of the spin correlation of $\Lambda$-(anti)$\Lambda$ hyperon pairs inside jets with resolution parameter $R = 0.6$ in $p+p$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=200$ GeV collected at the STAR experiment. This is the first measurement of spin correlation inside jets and provides new insights into spin correlation effect during the hadronization process.
