Description

Photon-induced processes in ultraperipheral collisions provide a clean probe of nuclear and particle dynamics, with azimuthal modulations offering particular sensitivity to the polarization and interaction mechanisms of quasi-real photons.Motivated by recent STAR measurements, we study azimuthal asymmetries in $\pi^+$ $\pi^-$ production near $f_2(1270)$ resonances in ultraperipheral Au+Au collisions. We include coherent $\rho^0$ photoproduction, two-photon resonance production, and their interference. The cosΔϕ and cos3Δϕ modulations exhibit pronounced resonance structures and are sensitive to the resonance couplings and form factors, providing new constraints on poorly known hadronic parameters.
