Physics and simulation:
Gang gave a talk for the summary of physics analysis results and detector optimization,
Physics analysis: have a schedule for physics analysis on next week
For ECAL, the baseline is silicon detector with full simulation, they also need the full simulation for the scintillator. We should know the difference between silicon and scincallator options. Going back to the simulation, why the resolution is bad for silicon option? Please get an answer for the reason of limitation on next week.
MDI
Hongbo summarized some key points discussed in Rome workshop, mainly focused on the simulation optimization for radiation background, the collimation design for SR, the comparison of magnet layout among different experiment, and the design for mounting the LumiCal.
For the LumiCal mounting, it needs more discussion with the engineer. For radiation background, they are re-simulating the pile production to check the impact. Joao suggested to update the new results in CDR.
tracker:
Zhijun summarized the CEPC tracking system and the comments from Rome workshop.
For muon detector, we don’t have the simulation optimization for it. When we do the simulation, we should also consider the HCAL performance, such as the number of layers. Since the current HCAL is very thick, maybe we can use the last layer as the muon detector, or reduce the thickness of HCAL and add a layer of muon detector, which is much cheaper.
Calorimeter:
Mingyi sum up the research status of calorimeter system.
SDHCAL: make sure how many hit for each layer, try to get the answer on next week
