Attendance: Joao, Yong Liu, Jianchun Wang, Yunpeng Lu, Gang Li, Zhijun Liang, Jinyu Fu, Hongbo Zhu, Manqi Ruan, Feipeng Ning, Zian Zhu, Huirong Qi, Had Zeng, Zhaoru Zhang, Liang Zhang (Vidyo), Hwidong Yoo (Vidyo)
0. Jianchun briefly reported the status of November workshop preparation. Currently, the local preparation is almost done, and now they are focusing on the scientific part, looking for conveners for every sessions and choose the talk topics.
1. Status of software and simulation by Gang Li
Gang summarized the status of new framework for CEPC software. In the workshop at Bologna, IHEP agreed to use simplified Gaudi with only 9 packages. Then Gang introduced that the CEPC-v4 has been implemented in DD4HEP. They also put efforts for ACTs common tracking and fast simulation ACT-fatras. Also they developed a few new calorimetry designs. The main problem is the lack of manpowers.
2. Research activities for the CMOS pixel sensor in SDU by Liang Zhang
Liang introduced the development status for SUPIX1, SUPIX2, TaichuPix1 (MOST2) and chips for MOST1, with the expectation for future plan.
1) Joao suggested that the talk should not only include the work done by one institute. As the conveners, they should represent everyone in their group, and have an overview for all the related work in their group.
2) Liang mentioned that they are collaborating with Liverpool for investigating techniques of building a ladder. Joao suggested that Hongbo and Liang can have communication with each other to better realize the collaboration.
3. Status of sensor design for MOST1 project by Yunpeng Lu
Yunpeng reported the progress results of MOST1 sensor. The sensor will be wrapped up in this month and submitted in next month.
People discussed the technic details for the chip and task arrangment among institutes.
Joao also suggested the talk should also include the progress of MOST2 sensor, not only focus on MOST1. Two projects should have more communication.
4. MDI status report by Hongbo Zhu
Hongbo gave a talk for the update for detector background estimation, mainly includes pair production, radiative Bhabha scattering, beam-Gas interaction, beam thermal photon interaction and synchrotron radiation, also the design modifications to the LumiCal.
1) Joao reminded to compare the results with FCC-ee.
2) Joao asked about the timescale for mechanic design for LumiCal. Hongbo said that the design from Quan Ji can be ready by November workshop. Joao suggested to show some preliminary results in the following meetings.
5. Update progress of TPC module and prototype R&D by Huirong Qi
Huirong introduced the updates for continuous IBF module, electronic and Prototype with laser calibration.
6. A Brief Summary for CEPC PFA-Calorimetry Workshop at USTC by Yong Liu
Yong introduced several different options and new ideas for CEPC calorimeter that discussed in this workshop.
Joao and Yong discussed that for the new idea of sensor, since the ASIC is bonded on sensor, if we want to use this option for the real detector, we need large area ASIC which should cover the full layer. Joao has the concern for the cost.
7. Progress of CEPC detector magnet by Feipeng Ning:
Feipeng reported the progress of yoke new design, cable development and Coil winding process, cryogenic system and HTS plan for IDEA.
Joao suggested that the HTS plan for IDEA should be discussed with IDEA people. Joao will contact them to inform that we got grant support form CAS.
