Description

New facilities, such as HIAF (High Intensity heavy ion Accelerator Facility), JUNA (Jinping Underground lab for Nuclear Astrophysics), SLEGS (Shanghai laser electron gamma source) and BISOL (Beijing ISOL), are being built or planned in China. Similar activities are also taking place in South Korea and Japan. Young nuclear physicists are needed to perform world class research with these facilities when they come online.

After the successful schools in 2019 and 2022, we will continue the activity of “Nuclear physics School for Young Scientists (NUSYS)” at Fudan University, Shanghai from Aug. 06-13, 2023,with arrival/check in on Aug. 6 and departure on Aug. 13.

The school is jointly organized by Fudan University (FDU), Beihang University (BUAA), Beijing Normal University (BNU), China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE), Institute of Modern Physics (IMP), Lanzhou University (LZU), Nanjing University (NJU), Peking University (PKU) and Tsinghua University (THU). We expect to host 40 Chinese students/postdocs together with another 20-40 international students/postdocs.

Accommodation and daily allowance for the attendees will be covered by the school!
