Diversity, inclusivity and recognition AMS-16 policy
Equity, diversity and inclusivity are important for the further development and success of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). GNU, being the host Organisation of AMS-16, is committed to supporting and empowering participants to the AMS-16 conference to engage freely and with acceptance during the upcoming conference. The AMS-16 Conference will provide a culture of inclusivity, diversity and acceptance of attendees and speakers from different religions races and cultures. We will ensure that the list of invited and plenary speakers, session chairs, and invited speakers includes people of different gender, race and academic position.
The Organising Committee aims to foster an inclusive, welcoming and positive environment for all participants at the AMS-16 conference. As such conference attendees will avoid any inappropriate actions or statements based on individual characteristics such as age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, nationality, political affiliation, ability status, or educational background. Disruptive or harassing behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated and should be reported to members of the Organising Committee. We hope that everyone who attends AMS-16 has an enjoyable conference.
