Visa Information

1. To facilitate international travel and contribute to China’s open development, China has extended its visa-free policy to passport holders from 38 countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Republic of Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Japan and Negara Brunei Darussalam. From November 30, 2024, to December 31, 2025, holders of ordinary passports from these countries can enter China without a visa for up to 30 days for business, tourism, family visits, academic exchanges, and transit.

2. “Individuals from 54 eligible countries, including Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Canada, traveling from China to a third country (region), can enter visa-free through any of the 60 open ports in 24 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and stay within the allowed areas for visa-free transit travelers for no more than 240 hours.”    This means they must enter China from one country and depart to another.
