1. Countries with short-term visa free policy
According to National Immigration Administration (2025/Apr/14)
"Europe (32 countries): Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland
Oceania (2 countries): Australia, New Zealand
Asia (4 countries): Brunei, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea
Note: Nationals of the above-mentioned countries can, with ordinary passports, enter China visa-free for purposes of business, tourism, visits to relatives and friends, exchange visits, and transit, provided that their stay periods will not exceed 30 days. The duration of stay shall be calculated from 00:00 on the day following the day of entry.''
From 2025/June/01, this list is extended to include five more countries (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay), see this post on 2024/Nov/29:
''Nationals of 43 countries including Brunei, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Japan, Bazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay take effect from 1 June, 2025 ) holding valid ordinary passports can be exempted from visa requirement if entering into China for the purpose of business, tourism, family or friends visits, exchange and transit. They can stay in China for no more than 30 days without visa.''
2. Countries with Visa-Free Transit Policy
(Note that some of the country listed here may be eligible for visa-free policy from June 1st, 2025):
"Individuals from 54 eligible countries, including Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Canada, traveling from China to a third country (region), can enter visa-free through any of the 60 open ports in 24 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and stay within the allowed areas for visa-free transit travelers for no more than 240 hours."
This means they must enter China from one country and depart to a third country. More details about the VISA-FREE-TRANSIT program (including a full list of eligible countries) can be found here.
3. If you need to apply for Chinese visa:
If non of the above policy applies and you need to apply for Chinese visa, please provide the required information in the registration form and contact us as soon as possible (make sure to indicate through which Chinese Embassy/consulate general you will be filing the application). We will provide you the visa supporting letter.
