Application process
School will support, fully or partially, the participants from BRICS countries outside of China. Two steps to get support to attend the BRICS-STARS.

First step:
- the HEPS will solicit the recommendation of candidates from
- Collaborating synchrotron facilities in BRICS countries
- From BRICS organizations
- If your name is not in the list of recommendation, your submission will not be processed into to second step. Therefore, Don't submit the application unless you are recommended !

Second Step:
- HEPS will select from the applications to decide how many and who international applicants will get support. There are two support modes, fully supported or partially supported. For partially supported, the paticipants need to cover the partial expense. If recommended candidate's institutions could support fully or partially to attend the school, it is welcome.
Financial Support Policy

School could suport, fully or partially, the expense of selected participants, for their international travel and school accommodation
If you get supported for international travel, HEPS will order the ticket after agreement on airline and itinerary selection. If you need to pay accommodation by yourself, ~350RMB/night in the Guesthouse of HEPS.
- Course Fee: Free
School Scale: Approximately 20 selected international students from BRICS countries and regions and around 10 Chinese students.
School Dates: July 19–26, 2026
Application Deadline: May 31, 2026
Eligibility:
- Senior PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and early-career professionals with a keen interest in synchrotron radiation
- Relevance of professional/academic background
- Proficiency in English
