Description
Ultra-peripheral Ru+Ru and Zr+Zr collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}=200~\mathrm{GeV}$ at RHIC provide a controlled setting for investigating nuclear-structure effects in the photonuclear production of forward neutrons. Although the two isobars have the same mass number, they differ in proton number and photonuclear response, making their neutron-tagged Coulomb-dissociation cross-section ratios sensitive to effects beyond simple electromagnetic-flux scaling. In this talk, we present impact-parameter-dependent equivalent-photon calculations for single and mutual Coulomb dissociation,
including exclusive and inclusive neutron-emission channels. We examine how the Ru/Zr ratios vary among different neutron topologies for single and mutual dissociation. The calculations reveal a pronounced channel dependence which exclusive low-multiplicity neutron channels exhibiting stronger isobar sensitivity than inclusive neutron-emission channels. These results demonstrate the potential of neutron-tagged Coulomb dissociation as a probe of isobar-dependent photonuclear response.
