Description
This talk presents the design of a high-sampling-rate data acquisition system based on timing triggers. The system distributes timing trigger signals through a timing master and timing slaves to control data acquisition at the front-end devices. Power supply controllers are used as simulated front-end devices to generate sampled data. The data are buffered in fixed time windows according to the trigger signals and transmitted to a data acquisition computer via the User Datagram Protocol (UDP). The receiving system performs data reception, reordering, and integrity checks before forwarding the data to Apache Kafka for buffering and online distribution. At the storage end, HDF5 is used to organize and store data from multiple devices in a structured format.
