Description
The Normative Types are a standard high-level data types used to represent more complex data than the EPICS V3 Data Types ("DBRs"). On this presentation some the possibilities of using Normative Types, in special NTTables, will be explained. From controlling the timing system to showing versions of used EPICS Modules the experience with NTTables from the European Spallation Source (ESS) is going to be presented. Different approaches, examples and pitfalls will be part of this talk.
