Description
The High-Granularity Timing Detector (HGTD) is a key component of the ATLAS Phase-II upgrade for the HL-LHC. It employs Low-Gain Avalanche Detector (LGAD) sensors to provide precise timing measurement and mitigate pile-up effects in the forward detector region. This talk summarizes the latest production and quality control status of ATLAS HGTD LGAD sensors, including sensor batch qualification, process validation, and irradiation test results. To date, approximately 10,000 IHEP-IME LGAD sensors have been fabricated and fully characterized, with all key performance parameters meeting the HGTD specification requirements. We will present the statistical electrical performance of the large sensor batch, focusing on the distribution of breakdown voltage and leakage current. The fabrication process quality has also been cross-validated by testing of test structure, demonstrating excellent uniformity across batches. The irradiation performance evaluated by TCT measurements on test structures will also be addressed.
