City of Hefei overview:
Hefei can be reached by air via Beijing and Shanghai. Hefei can also be reached by high speed train via Beijing and Shanghai (about 4 or 3hours). Most trains are to the Hefei South Station, about 8 km from USTC.
Hefei (/ˈhəˈfeɪ/, 合肥), is the capital and largest city of Anhui Province in China. It is Located in the east region of China, it borders Shanghai and Nanjing to the East. It has fruitful historic and cultural resources, with a long history of over 2,000 years, whose establishment can be reached back to the Han Dynasty (122 B.C.). Hefei was a strategic ford most of times in the ancient days, there are still many historic sites located in the city, e.g. the Three Kingdoms Site (215 A.D.). Besides, A lot of celebrated figures were born in Hefei, such as Zheng Bao in Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127 A.D.), and the famous physicist, C. N. Yang.
Hefei is one of the four national scientific and educational bases in China, and is also positioned as the comprehensive national science center. The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and the institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) are both located here. Hefei has at least four National Laboratories, second only to Beijing, the scientific research in Hefei exhibits strong competitive power in the areas of synchrotron radiation, quantum functional materials, magnetic confinement fusion, quantum information, and artificial intelligence.

We will pick people up on 11:30am, 14:00pm, 16:00pm, 20:00pm by bus, you can also take the public bus No. 108/704 from HSRS to the ‘East Campus of USTC’ station, or take a taxi, which costs about 0.5h and 20 CNY.

Students’ volunteers will take people there, you can also take a taxi from HFE to Jiang-Nan-Chun Hotel, with about 1h and 100 CNY cost.

Playground: Located closely to the Jin-Zhai Road, school's second Gym sites next to it.
