Introduction of Wuxi

Wuxi, lying in East China, is a beautiful city in Jiangsu province. It is surrounded by Suzhou city, Changzhou city, Yangtze River and Lake Tai. Wuxi is not far from Shanghai, with about an hour high-speed train from Shanghai to Wuxi. Nowadays, Wuxi is well known for its modern industry, developed commerce, long history of culture and fascinating scenery.

In Chinese, Wuxi means "Without Tin" literally. It has seven county level divisions, while Binhu district is the location of Wuxi Municipal Government. In 2009, Wuxi was honored as the annual "Global Green City" by the United Nations. In 2013, Wuxi was ranked first in competitiveness among livable cities of the Chinese mainland.

Weather

According to MSN weather, Wuxi experiences an average high temperature of 77°(25℃) and an average low temperature of 62°(16.7℃) in May every year. The average rainfall of Wuxi in May is 3.91in(99.31mm). Though the average temperature seems very comfortable, Wuxi is likely to show its bad temper sometimes. Attractions

Wuxi is a national garden city, possessing 17 beautiful wetland parks. Among these parks, Changguangxi Wetland Park (长广溪湿地公园) and Lianghong Wetland Park (梁鸿湿地公园) are ranked as national wetland parks.

Since Wuxi is built on the shore of Lake Tai, Lake Tai provides a lot of tourism resources for Wuxi. Noted spots include Yuantouzhu (the Islet of Turtlehead) and Taihu Xiandao (Islands of the Deities).

The Mixc is a high-end urban complex, belonging to China Resources(CRC, 华润). It covers shopping, catering, entertainment, travel and culture.

Wanda Plaza is a famous shopping center not only in Wuxi but also in many other cities in China. Wanda Plaza(Binhu) cooperated with many famous brands. Here you can find KFC, Sephora, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Watsons, DQ, Honeymoon Dessert, PB, BSK, STR, Only, Jack&Jones, Vero Moda, Selected, Roem, TEENIE WEENIE, Basic House, etc.
