Prompt Open Charm Production at 5 TeV Proton-lead Collisions in LHCb

Summary

Production cross sections of prompt $\Lambda^{+}_{c}$ and $\rm D^{0}$ are measured at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} =5.02$ TeV proton-lead collisions with the data samples collected in LHCb at 2013, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $1.06\pm 0.02$ $\rm nb^{-1}$ ($0.52\pm 0.01$ $\rm nb^{-1}$) in the forward (backward) configuration. The charmed baryon to meson ratio and forward-backward production asymmetry are also measured at both forward and backward rapidities and compared to theoretical predictions.
