Summary
The STAR experiment has produced convincing evidence that strongly
interacting partonic matter, Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP), is created in the heavy-ion collisions.
The light flavor spectra and dilepton production are idea probes for the studies of this hot and dense medium which include the search for the QCD critical point, the exploration the QCD phase structure and the study on the chiral phase transition.
In this talk, recent STAR results on light flavor spectra and dileptons will be presented. Physics implications and future opportunities will be discussed.
