第十一届华大QCD讲习班 -- 夸克物质与粒子探测

The 11th HuaDa QCD School -- Quark Matter and Particle Detection

时间:2023年10月23日-27日

Note: The registration has started since Sept. 5, 2023. The participants list will be public after the registration deadline Oct. 10, 2023.

The 11th Huada QCD School will be held in Central China Normal University (CCNU), Wuhan, China, during the week of Oct 23-27, 2023 (arrival day: Oct. 22, Sunday).

The Huada QCD School is an annual school which aims to provide basic training in strong interaction physics for graduate students, postdocs and young researchers in the field of high-energy nuclear and particle physics.

We have invited ten speakers to give lectures on Quark Matter and Particle Detection in high-energy collisions:

  • Particle detection technology: Prof. Jianbei Liu (USTC) (Lectures 1, 2)
  • Software of offline data processing: Prof. Xingtao Huang (SDU) (Lectures 1, 2)
  • Experiments of dark matter and neutrino: Prof. Jianglai Liu (SJTU)  (Lectures 1, 2)
  • Anomalous chiral effects in heavy-ion collisions: Prof. Qiye Shou (Fudan Univ.) (Lecture 1)
  • Detection QGP properties with heavy quarks: Prof. Xiaoming Zhang (CCNU) (Lecture 1)
  • Jet physics in heavy-ion collisions: Prof. Yaxian Mao (CCNU) (Lecture 1)
  • Heavy flavor physics: Prof. Zhenwei Yang (PKU) (Lectures 1, 2)
  • QCD phase diagram and beam energy scan: Determined (Lectures 1, 2, 3)
  • High luminosity frontier experiments: Prof. Huaqiao Zhang (IHEP) (Lectures 1, 2)
  • Spin and hyperon polarization: Prof. Qinghua Xu (SDU) (Lectures 1, 2)

There is no registration fee for attending the school. Food will be provided by the  organizers. The participants are responsible for the expenses of their travel and local accommodation. The accommodation may be arranged by the local organizers (please make choice for your accommodation during the registration). International participants may apply for local financial support.

The total number of participants for the school is limited up to 60, and please register as soon as possible if you are interested. Please you contact your supervisor to send a recommendation letter for you to the HuaDa QCD School secretary via email (yuanqiang@mail.ccnu.edu.cn) before the registration deadline. It is recommended that the participants should have taken or are taking basic courses of particle physics and nuclear physics.

Organizers: Shaolong Chen, Xiaofeng Luo, Yaxian Mao, Guang-You Qin, Shusu Shi, Xiangming Sun, Yaping Wang (Chair), Hang Yin, Xiaoming Zhang
