The International Conference on Symmetry Breaking Phenomena in Quantum Field Theory aims to bring together leading researchers, scholars, and students to discuss recent advancements, challenges, and future directions in the study of symmetry breaking within quantum field theory and related areas. Topics will span spontaneous symmetry breaking, topological defects, effective field theories, phase transitions, and connections to condensed matter and particle physics.

As part of the conference program, a Memorial Session in Honor of Prof. Vladimir Miransky will be held on May 17, 2026

Conference Topics Include (but are not limited to):

  • Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking and the Nambu–Goldstone Mechanism

  • Chiral Symmetry and Center Symmetry Breaking in Quantum Chromodynamics

  • Electroweak Symmetry Breaking and Higgs Physics

  • Topological Defects, Solitons, and Symmetry Breaking

  • Symmetry breaking in condensed matter systems

Important Dates:

  • Abstract submission deadline: April 15, 2026

  • Notification of acceptance: April 18, 2026

  • Registration(Modification) deadline: April 20, 2026

  • Conference dates: May 15–19, 2026

We invite you to register for the event through the dedicated Indico webpage. Please note the registration fees:

  • Professor / Postdoc Participant Fee:​ 2500 RMB (approx. 350 USD)

  • Student Participant Fee:​ 2000 RMB

  • Payment:​ Fees are due on-site. Credit cards are accepted.

  • A limited amount of funding is available to support attendees with budget constraints, with special consideration given to senior researchers. Contact wangxy@aust.edu.cn for more information.

  • Registration is limited to 100 attendees.

To give a talk:

Submit your title and abstract as part of your registration. You can modify your submission anytime before the deadline.
